Records show that there were morris men in Chelmsford between 1934 and 1937, but the side you see today was formed in 1972. The men’s dances are mainly from the Cotswolds, in the typical white costume with bells and hankies. In the winter we also perform dances from the Welsh borders, with disguised black faces and tatter coats. |
